I avoided buying Bananagrams for a long time - it just seemed so expensive for such a little game - but my husband and I are very happy we finally made the purchase! We've played it with friends, family, and just each other, and have always had a good time. It's a fun, fast-paced game that has keeps everyone occupied, and high IQ isn't a prerequisite - you aren't scored on the length of your words, so 3-4 letters will work just as well as longer words. The best way to describe it: It's like Scrabble, without the stress of Scrabble. Dropped tiles can be tough to find, so we often play on the floor (or low coffee table) instead of a table. I agree with a previous reviewer that if you're trying to save money, you can pass on the "leaf score pad," but it's a cute addition if you're willing to spend a couple extra bucks.
