Customer Review: Great toy for the price
Summary: 4 Stars
Compared to other Space Battleship Yamato toys/models, this version is a great value. And for you mechanical geeks, you can see the inner workings of the ship! However, it is VERY delicate, and I don't recommend playing with it after you've assembled it. Some of the guns are very small and easy to knock off or lose. Since it comes in eight major parts, each with removable paneling, it's best to leave it alone on the stand. Assembly is required and takes about 2-3 hours to put it together. Aside from those minor gripes, it's an amazing toy.
Description of Spaceship Yamato Mechanic File
This is the famous Space Battleship Yamato known in the US as Space Cruiser Yamato or Star Blazers. The Space Battleship Yamato Mechanic File is a Trading Figure/Candy Toy that is made up of 8 individual modular sections. When put together, these sections will form the complete ship. The Completed ship measures a whopping 14" long. Each individual box is marked so that you know what is contained inside. (Therefore a complete display box of 8 contains the entire completed ship and should be sold as a complete unit). The cross sections can be displayed individually to show the details of the interior. As an extra feature, the entire port side of the model can be peeled away to show the details of the hull. Fully Painted and requires minor assembly.
