Nice construction, its nice to have wood and not cheap plastic, screeching noise? oh, yeah, there is a groove, but come on, talk about petty.
The game is lots of fun for both adults and kids. Like tictactoe/noughtsandcrosses but more strategy involved. Teaches planning ahead, holding something in reserve, holding back the largest piece for emergency blocks, etc.

is that any age can play along. My 8 year old and I have a great time with Gobblet, but it's not so complicated that my 5 year old can't join in. And it's not a game that an adult would find boring ~ there *is* some strategy involved. :o)The pieces are well made, and I like the self storing box too. It's the kind of game that travels well.

Well-conceived game that works for adults playing with kids too.Involves strategy as one player blocks another's possible moves. This game has almost hidden layers. As one larger cylinder gobbles a smaller one, possibly of the opponent's colour, it is tough to remember later when moving the outer cylinder only in a blocking strategy.

I ordered this toy for my grandson as he had played with it at school and really liked it. It is a challenging game and makes a child think and strategize. Even adults like to play the version for older children. The game was sturdily constructed and easy to understand. I would recommend it with out reservation.Customer Review: GOBBLET Is Great Fun!

In this game you have to get four across diagonally, horizontally, or vertically to win. The twist is that you can jump your own pieces on the board or your opponents! You really have to think out your next move or you could lose just that quickly! It's much better than Quarto which I also own.
