My niece loved this for gift last year, but, as with other reviewers, couldn't find more refills (luckily bought up a bunch last year since they don't last long!). Tried badge a minit buttons like several reviewers said work. THEY DO NOT WORK -- jammed machine, and since of plastic covers don't work right due to a slightly different shaped button!
rotten Christmas gift, huh?! (Now I have to see if my e-bay seller really is good on returns!) Shipping will likely make it not worthwhile....
its useless without button parts. Can buy a badge a minit button maker for about 40 bucks for the regular size (2 1/2?) buttons on e-bay -- wish I had just done that!
Description of B-Stylin' Button Designer
Buttons are great personality signifiers for kids, offering instant, literal expression. With this easy, five-step button maker, kids can create their own designs, which can be worn on clothes, hats, and backpacks, or given away. Included are 20 button tops, bottoms, illustrated designs, and backs (magnetic or clip-on). The machine presses the materials together to form a button. Thoughtfully, a template is included. Once kids learn how to use the machine, they could easily use up all the materials in one day, and some of the designs may not be original enough for them. It's best for kids 8 years or older; the parts could pose a choking hazard to much younger kids. No batteries or electrical outlets are required. --Diane BeallCraft Kits Toys
