This microscope is excellent quality and very durable. Included pre-made slides + blank slides & slide covers to view anything your heart desires. My 7yr old daughter thought this was the best Christmas gift. The mummy wrap slide & brine shrimp are a big hit. Younger children may need help viewing the slides & working the microscope, but my 4 year old was also very interested in the microscope. I was very pleased with this Christmas purchase. It was well worth the money, shipping nice and quick, & definately a hit with the kids and adults. The only drawback was the set did not come with a box to keep it in, but I got a basket & that keeps it nice and organized. I did a lot of online research & am very pleased that I spent a bit more & got this great microscope. The microscope has a top & bottom light source for viewing wet/clear slides vs solids. This is very easy to use. I was impressed with the round-edged slides (not sharp & brittle) & cover slides are reusable stickerlike (not glass & breakable)-perfect in childrens' hands. All around great microscope!
