Customer Review: Looming is Fun

I have now purchased 4 of these kits, two for me and two as gifts. My daughter and I are making Christmas presents with them. It is fun and you can really make some creative crafts with it, like a purse, tic-tac-toe board, bean bag and oh, yeah, potholders. The reason I knocked it down one star is because the loops. Some of the loops cannot be used as potholders because they cannot withstand the heat. Be careful when you buy replacements because the nylon ones will melt. Try to buy only cotton.
We gave one out as a gift and the birthday girl loved it. I can't wait to see if the other one I bought as a gift will be rec'd as well by the other birthday girl.

Had one of these when I was a kid!
I seached for quite a while to find one that has a metal frame. The crochet hook is not the greatest, but backi in the day, I just used my fingers! The hook is too short to run the length of the loom and its actually hooking ablity is a little lacking.
It comes with a nifty instructional book on different things to make and suggested patterns to weave. And it comes with a lot of loops too.
My daughter (5) had quite a bit of help making the first one, but she is making the second one by herself in large part. And it seems to have captured her imagination just a bit, which is always a good thing!

My daughter received this for xmas and played it with it for hours the first few days which isn't like her. She has played with it off an on since xmas. Today January 30th she got it out and played with it several hours. She has made several potholder. The only negative I have is that it is difficult to tie and the pot holders shrink up. So she LOVES playing with it the bad thing is she doesn't really get anything out of it.Customer Review: Zillion Times Better than the Plastic one from M-Craft Store!

My boy's 10 & 7 loved this. The 10 year old was able to do everything from start to finish and the 7 year old was able to do most (and he can't even tie his shoes yet!). We used every single loop already! If I could change anything it would be that the loom would not be in a "girl color." Most crafting items are and they show a girl on the package. That deters most boys from even the desire of trying to craft.Customer Review: Loop N Loom

Bought for my grandduaghter and she loves it - hardly put it down - I had bought an extra pkg of the loops so she wouldn't run out. Making great designs & colors. BUT the draw back - you cannot use. Did not realize this until it melted onto an oven shelf. And I mean really melted - must be plastic. Wish someone would offer cotton loops so the item would be useable. Be careful - they MELT!!
