We got this suit for our 4 1/2 year old son (whose crazy about space) for Halloween. It's seems well made (has already made it through the wash) and he loves wearing it. It's lightweight with lots of snaps. The size 4/6 seemed to fit him well over jeans/shirt so maybe go up a size if your child is at the size 6 range.
We also got the boots Astronaut Boots, size Medium, gloves (which match) and the plastic space helmet. Boots were fun and had reflectors on them (nice for trick or treating). The gloves were a little bulky and so he didn't enjoy wearing them as much. The space helmet Jr. Astronaut Helmet with sounds broke almost instantaneously. It has a major design flaw in that you can only lift up the visor using a button. So you can imagine how long that lasted with a 4 year old. It was also extremely large (fits comfortably on adults). So all in all, for a 4 year old, I'd definitely get the suit, probably the boots, would skip the gloves and would try some other helmet for your junior astronauts in training!

After reading the rave reviews on this site, I was a little disappointed to find the fabric not be as heavy-guage as I'd expected, and it seemed see-through, but once on it was great and not as see-though as I'd feared.
It looks absolutely great on my 3.5 yr-old. I should point out that he is just growing into a 4T, and this fits him about the same as most of those things, maybe just slightly larger, so buyer beware. If your child is larger than a 4T (maybe a small 5), get the next size up.
He really looks like an astronaut, very professional and he loves all the patches. I love that it will last past Halloween and provide dress-up fun. It is definitely decent quality and would last as part of a normal wardrobe if your kid, like mine, seems to want to wear it every day.
Oh, and the hat is also ok quality and looks good, and could be worn alone as a regular hat. A bonus!

Then this is the perfect one! Bought this for my 3.5yo little boy and it was a HUGE hit! While other kids were wearing the usual Batman, Superman, Woody, Buzz, etc costumes, he was a standout! It's not your run of the mill costume for kids. The quality is great too. Looks like an authentic astronaut costume, what with the NASA patches and all. It does run a tad small, and I took the advise of other reviews and bought size 4/6, although my little boy is only 3.5yo and he's on the slim side. I just had to tighten the belt a bit, and it was perfect. Good value for money!Customer Review: He slept in it!

Our 4 year old son was so excited to get this astronaut suit he slept in it the first night. We also purchased the helmet. The entire outfit went to preschool the next day and was the hit of preschool. The teacher even thanked us for sharing it. It just so happened we traveled to Johnson Space Center shortly after purchasing the suit. My son insisted on wearing the suit that day and everyone stopped us to comment and find out where we purchased it. My husband and son now plan to build a rocket ship together because the suit was such a huge hit!Customer Review: Favorite Halloween constume

We got this for our son for Halloween since he wanted to go as an astronaut (he's 3 1/2) Since we showed it to him, he's always wanting to wear it around the house, he is so excited. It was a little bit more money than I wanted to pay, but if I had made the costume from scratch, it probably would have cost that much to make anywys. I'm willing to pay a little extra not to spend hours at the sewing machine and enjoy the time with my kids instead. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a space enthusist like I do.
