Toys and Games Reviews of Sea Ventures RMS Titanic
battery powered-Adjustable RudderCustomer Review: a big hit! an awesome toy Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased two of these toys for my twin 7 yr old boys for Christmas. One of my boys is a high-functioning autistic and his favorite subject the last 3-4 months has been the Titanic. Christmas afternoon we went to our in-laws house who have a pool and these toys were quickly put to the test. The toys float and the propeller and rudder work and the ships cruised across the pool. My son did make it sink to the bottom of the hot tub and we retrieved it with the net. I took these apart by unscrewing the 4 screws to completely dry overnight. These toys were a big hit this Christmas and I hope they will still be in working order in 6 months for summertime swimming. So far they are holding up very well. I plan on buying more of them for my nephew's birthday this spring.
Customer Review: My 6 year old son LOVES this toy!!! Summary: 4 Stars
My 6 year old is TOTALLY FASCINATED with the Titanic - we're not too sure why or what prompted it. As I am sure you may know, "Titanic toys" are not very easy to come by these days! This is one of the only "toys" I've been able to find and he LOVES it. Its actually very fast in the bath tub. I can't wait for him to take it in the pool. The rutter fell off pretty quickly, but I was able to snap it back in and we were back in business. (I just hope it doesn't become an ongoing problem). Regardless, its worth the money and I am so thankful to have found some kind of "toy" that represents the Titanic. If you have a child that just can't get enough of the Titanic, you really can't go wrong w/ this!
Customer Review: Sea Master RMS Titanic Loved by My Son Summary: 4 Stars
My seven-year-old son is obsessed with the Titanic. He loves his Sea Master RMS Titanic. He brought it to Sunday School on 1/18/09, to show his class. More girls surround him to look at the ship than boys, which surprized me. (If he was 10 years older, I think he would have been happier about this.)
I not sure how durable the ship is, but Joshua has had it a month now, and he has not broken the propeller off yet. This ship is a good deal for the price. It is not detailed enough to have great educational value, but that's not why we purchased it. There are many other more expensive models for older kids that can fulfill that purpose.
Customer Review: A Very Merry Christmas Summary: 5 Stars
I waited a bit too long to order this toy as a Christmas gift, so I was a bit disappointed when the message arrived saying it would not be shipped until after the holiday. Imagine my delight when the seller got it to me in time for Christmas! My 6-year-old grandson opened the box and from that point on could care less what else Santa had brought him. He was ready to hit the tub and watch Titanic sail! For weeks he slept with the ship. Being plastic it did hot hold up to rough handling well, but he is still happy with it months later.
Customer Review: Motorized Titanic gives good value under $20 Summary: 4 Stars
I was pleasantly surprised this month when-just for the heck of it-I ordered this battery operated toy through Amazon. It is solidly constructed, looks something like the Titanic, and runs well in a bathtub.
For some strange reason, the price has zoomed from $17 to about $100 over the last two days. It is still available from MegaHobbies for $10, so I don't have a clue what has happened with the Amazon version.
It is at the most worth $20, so a little shopping can save a lot.
